We can help.

Grantmaking

Our goal is to bolster the success and impact of organizations in Merced County. We have a commitment to trust-based grantmaking and general operating support grants for nonprofit, and school, partners addressing our priority funding areas.

Our funding priorities are inclusive of the broad array of needs arising in Merced County. Our giving covers the lifespan, infant to elder, and supports agencies addressing the individual and collective needs of our communities.

Grants for nonprofit organizations

CFMC grant making program supports nonprofit organizations that address the needs of Merced County residents. We accept unsolicited grants on a rolling basis.

Eligible Organizations are:

  • Nonprofit agencies with evidence of tax-exempt status under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and not classified as a private foundation

  • Located within and primarily serving residents of Merced County

  • Operated and organized so that they do not discriminate in the hiring of staff or in providing services on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin or disability
